Searching

Generally, there are 2 methods to on searching the library catalog. The first one is SIMPLE SEARCH, which is the simplest method on searching catalog. You just need to enter any keyword, either it is the book's titles, author(s) or subject(s). You can type more than one keywords in Simple Search method and it will expand your search results. For a better result, you can also try the boolean operation. You can insert the word OR between two keywords to widen your result, or the word AND to make it spesific. For example, if you write "Andrea Hirata OR Pelangi" then the engine would search any item containing either the word "Andrea Hirata", "Pelangi" or both. While if you write "Andrea Hirata AND Pelangi", the machine will only retrieve items which contain both word  "Andrea Hirata" and "Pelangi".

Another method you can use is the ADVANCED SEARCH. It lets you define keywords in more specific fields by using books' attributes such as titles, authors, publishers, year of publication and ISBN. Make sure to input the keywords in the appropriate field provided. By using this system, you can retrieve the book faster, easier and more effectively.
